Ruth Etta Johnson

Our mother, Ruth Etta Johnson, went home to be with her Lord after a long battle with Dementia on November 23, 2025. She was surrounded by her 5 loving daughters. She was born on March 15, 1926, in Spring, Texas, to Joseph Walter and Martha Elizabeth Cain.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Grady Johnson and her son J.W. Grounds Jr. She is survived by her daughters Pat and late husband Tommy Bevil of Jasper, Texas, Jeanette and Gerald Barnhart of Conroe, Texas, Janice and Wayne Williams of Butler, Tennessee, Ruthie and Greg Zwisler of Conroe, Texas and Donna and Pat Dickson of Conroe, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters Maxine Cain and Ann Trimm; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A committal service will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at Garden Park Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Raymond Barnhart, Drew Page, Grady Page, Jason Marshall, Justin Marshall, William Bower, T.J. Shepherd and Jake Scott.
