Sandra Tannery Bowden peacefully received her angel wings on December 12, 2018, while surrounded by her family. Sandra was born on January 14, 1954 in Center, Texas and moved to Conroe in 1956. She graduated from Conroe High School in 1972 and went on to Sam Houston State University where she studied education. However, one semester before graduating she decided to start a family business. In 2005 the store closed and she got her most beloved and rewarding title...NANA and was able to care and spend time with her grandchildren.
Sandra is predeceased in death by her parents, Gene and Doris Tannery and her niece, Suzanne Marie Wellborn. She is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole Bender, and husband, Stephen, and her grandchildren, Paige and Heather Wilson and Abby and Molly Bender. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Wellborn and husband, Gary, brother, Greg Tannery, and wife, Kelly, nieces and nephew, Sarah Wellborn Gable (Justin), Jason Tannery, Lauren Tannery Hamm (Justin), Katelyn Tannery Pinero (Jared), and Madelyn Tannery, and many great nieces and nephews. Mom, we all know how hard you fought your battle. You did your best to not show your silent pain through to the end. What you did show was your courage and your amazing love for your family. God has now blessed you with a pain free body and wings to take you wherever you want to go. We will forever keep you in our hearts and know you are never far away. We will love you always and know through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice that we will see you again someday. In the meantime mom, keep soaring with your new wings of joy!
