Sandy and I were great friends in high school in our hometown of New Paltz, NY  Sandy had such compassion and cared about others. When we were seniors in high school I had a very bad case of strep throat.  Sandy came to visit me every morning before school started the entire week I was home sick. She cheered me up and cheered me on to get well.  Sandy was a very selfless person.

I had the pleasure of meeting you for the first time in Kansas not too long after I became best friends with your granddaughter, Samantha. You were the center of the hub for the most beautiful family that absolutely adores and now misses you so much. Your smile and laugh brought so much joy and laughter to everyone that was around you! Fly high, sweet GG. You are greatly missed. However, your legacy remains in the hearts of those who witnessed your love and strength here on earth and I know they will each carry on with that same love and strength as each day passes here on earth. 💗 

She was my supervisor and more in the mental health field. She was a fierce advocate with a high bar of excellence in who she served. I hate working for anyone less. Yet, she was funny, approachable and made hard...HARD work easy, while still expecting the best. This was over 20-30 years ago. To explain the best of leadership, she hired well...the staff I served with...many are still fast friends, though are lives are lived too much online today. She stayed in touch all these years. I am speechlessly grieved. Today, I am working on my PHD in Industrial Psych...she was foundational to what goes right in leadership, while she was a humble person, I owe a significant part of my success to her exemplary leadership and as a mentor and true friend.  Wish she had seen me hit that brass ring.  Rest in peace mentor angel! I know you wanted to go home to him...I know you missed him sooo much. 

I will forever be grateful with knowing you are the one that gave me my big break and real chance to use/share my skills and love for working with individuals experiencing disabilities.  When I started at ECNW (Employment Connections Northwest), you greeted me with open arms a big smile and a loud NY Greek booming voice. I always found comfort in knowing you had my back in tough situations. Coming from Alaska as a young 20 something young man, you added to my life both personally and professionally. You will be missed and loved more than you may ever know. Where I know it is sad that you are gone, I know that Lonnie has welcomed you with loving and open arms.

I'll always remember the two of us re-arranging the office, doing paperwork by hand as had no computers. Her Avon days, sharing baby clothes and toys for the grandkids.

She was like another mom to me. She was fun, funny and loved most people. It was my privilege to have been her friend 

We had to say "bye" to you yesterday G. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. So many people showed up to your celebration of life. I know you were smiling & watching from above. I hope you got all your balloons. 💙 Becca had a great idea & everyone left with bird seed to throw in remembrance  of you. 

Summer brought Nemo too! He had lots of love to give to whoever was holding him.

Over the many years each time I had the honor of being included in various celebrations I always sat beside Sandra who I know as Sandy. There is not anyone who met her that did not absolutely adore her. She was kind, funny, smart, had a heart as big as Texas and loved & cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of their friends. Sandy will be missed but certainly not ever forgotten. So, it is not goodbye, but see you soon! Much love to Diana and the family. Teresa Osborne

My heart goes out to Your family. You mom was always the center of your family and was loved by so many. I know hearts are broken but know your parents are reunited for eternity…she was never the same without him here…now they are together watching over you. Hugs snd prayers.

Sandy was like my second mom, I spent many summers hanging out at the house with Diana and getting into trouble. Not only was she like a mom to me she was my boss at Whataburger. I will miss her! Even though it’s been about eight years since the last time I saw her it feels like it was yesterday. My prayers go out to all of you, I love you. ❤️ 

Sandy was like a second mom to me when Diana and I were growing up.  Not only a mom but she was also my boss at Wataburger .  I will always treasure those memories!  Even though I haven’t seen her in about 8 years, it was like yesterday. I am sure she is having the time of her life reuniting with Lonnie. My prayers are with all of you, I love you ❤️ Michele 

You will be missed greatly, but I am consoled by knowing that you are in Heaven dancing with Lonnie and having a wonderful reunion.
