Susan was born on November 25, 1957 in Houston, Texas to parents John Edward Johnson and Ellan Ruth Allen.
She lived and worked in Pasadena, Texas as a nurse for over 40 years. She earned her nursing license in 1977. She was a natural born caregiver and enjoyed her patients whom she always considered as family. Even getting up in the middle of the night to be with a family in their time of need. She retired as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Pasadena Substance Abuse Clinic in 2022. She also enjoyed garage sales, thrift stores, and working in the yard.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Susan cherished those special moments with family. She made every family gathering special for everyone. She was a people pleaser and took great pride in spoiling all of us. We could always count on her to take care of us. Susan had a nurturers' soul. She knew instantly what you needed before you even knew. Her ability to make you feel loved was amazingly comforting. She was so happy to finally move to Montgomery to be closer to her Mother, Ruth. She enjoyed taking her on adventures. They laughed and enjoyed each other's company every day.
Her husband, Leslie, had her heart from the very beginning. After 37 years of marriage, they still behaved like newlyweds. They held hands while watching tv every night. They openly showed affection to each other daily. Their love was a gift to all of us to watch.
Susan loved all of her boys: James, Michael, Bryan, Jordan, Maddox and Bentley. She was a great Mom & Grandmother. She made sure everyone had a special birthday. She went the extra mile to make them feel loved.
