Taeko Nietering, born February 22nd 1927, passed away on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016, at the age of 89. Taeko was born in Amakusa, Japan to Seiko Iwai and Mura Tanaka. She was a devout Christian and devoted her life to her faith and her family. She loved cooking, and gardening, beautiful flowers and dogs.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas W. Stamper, followed by her second husband, Donald G. Nietering her brother Sorhai Iwai and sister Emiko Iwai. Taeko is survived by her sister Michiko Shima: her son John Stamper; daughters Jane Stamper, Martha Stamper Lovstad (and husband Morten) and Sally Kay Nietering; grandchildren John T. Stamper, Cody Lovstad, Heidi Lovstad and Cole Stamper; great grandchildren Erica Fojtasek, Hannah Stamper, Jace Stamper; and great-great grandchildren Kiara Mallard, Caden Blake Fojtasek. There will be a memorial service for Taeko Nietering at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 3:00pm.
