Thomas Jacob Gotliboski, III, born August 31, 1962, in Gulfport, Mississippi, and passed away November 30, 2025, in his home in Montgomery, Texas. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers of Phi Kappa Sigma and countless, cherished friends from every facet of his life.
Many of you were fortunate enough to attend his exuberant bonfire gatherings at Meanwhile Ranch. All of us will remember his passion for Texas Longhorn Football, his avidity for reading, his devotion to his faith, and, of course, his deep and abiding love for his family.
A member of the Texas Bar Association since 1989, in private practice, he specialized in Business; Oil, Gas, and Energy; and Wills-Trusts-Probate. He attended The University of Texas, The University of Houston, and South Texas College of Law. Tom was also very active in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he served as a Lifetime Committeeman on the Cutting Horse division of the Horse Show Committee.
Although Tom's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, he leaves behind a legacy of fellowship, faith, and wisdom that we might celebrate and carry forward with us in all that we do.
A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel in Conroe, Texas.
Tom’s children are looking forward to hearing your stories about him.
A reception will follow the service at 11:00 AM, and burial will take place at 12:30 PM at Garden Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catholic Charities of Houston or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
“The upside of aging many years past the obvious halfway mark of life is that every sunrise and sunset seems a little more special. Every song sounds a little more beautiful, every smile and laugh shared seems more meaningful. Every moment spent with friends and family is appreciated a little more as I affirm to myself the undeniable truth that the greatest gift we have to share with each other is time, for we do not know how much of it we have been gifted.” TJG III - 9/1/25
