A proud Marine Corps veteran, Thurman went on to become a professional truck driver, spending many years behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler — a job he truly loved. He had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life: cowboy shows, wrestling, barbecuing, and good company.
Thurman was a man of his word, known for his strength, his loyalty, and his readiness to help anyone in need. He had a competitive spirit — never turning down a chance to arm wrestle his adult sons — and a generous heart that made those around him feel loved and supported.
Above all, Thurman cherished time with his family and friends. He adored his wife more than anything in this world and found his greatest joy in being surrounded by those he loved.
His presence, laughter, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed.
