I knew who Tony was, as promoter at Freestone, but had never met him. At one of the Glen Helen GPs a few years ago, (before his illness) I walked by where he was talking to Bevo Forte and Bud Feldkamp. I didn’t know Tony even knew who I was, but when he heard Bevo say my name he grabbed my hand and introduced himself, saying he was a fan of my writing. He made me feel like we were old friends and I will never, ever forget how good he made me feel that day. Here was this great, successful icon of our sport and he actually read stuff I had written! We stood around, shooting the breeze, for about 45 minutes and I remember thinking that I will never forget Tony and how special he made me feel on that day. I am sure that Tony has had that effect on many people during his lifetime. 

Our paths never crossed again. When I read of his ALS diagnosis in Clayton’s Facebook post, it really hit me hard and I didn’t know exactly why. I barely knew him and had only met him once, yet it profoundly affected me. Whenever Clayton posted pictures of he and his dad, always laughing, it warmed my soul. 

Rest In Peace, Tony, I will miss you. My heartfelt condolences go out to Clayton, all of Tony’s family and friends for their great loss.

Tony was a friend and colleague at Brittian Electric and later at KenMor Electric.  I remember him as a good friend at work and a man full of fun.  In our later years were were friends on Facebook.  Rest in Peace Tony.  I will always have fond memories of our all to brief times together.

Of the tens of thousands that crossed Tony's path in the motocross world, my son and I were specks in the crowd.  But Tony would always recognize us and he treated us as if we had known him all of his life.  That speaks volumes.  A truly wonderful man who will be missed and remembered by so many!  RIP Tony.

I am thinking of you and want to express my sincere sympathy.  I remember Tony and know that my late husband, Jerry Casciero, loved chatting with him at the races.  They were kindred spirits.  Tony and Jerry  had a common passion for motorcycles and it was a joy just to watch their enthusiasm as they talked, joked and just simply loved being a part of it all.  This is a sad time but know that in the months and years ahead your deep sorrow  will lessen enough to allow all the happy memories to be in the forefront of your heart and daily life.

Sending prayers to your family at this time. Tony was so helpful to me and let me do booths at the Nationals at Freestone for several years. I am grateful to him. What a great man with such a good heart!
