Walter Keeble Freeman, 81, devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Thursday evening, September 8, 2016. Keeble was born on November 9, 1934 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. His family moved to Velasco in 1938 where he grew up. Keeble married Annie Cassie Bryan on June 14, 1957 in Jones Creek, Texas. They moved to Montgomery, Texas in 1999. Keeble is survived by his beloved wife, Annie Cassie Freeman; 2 daughters and their husbands, Annie Countess Hope (Steven) and Donna Jean Shaver Gosh (Phil); his grandchildren, Abigail Grace Shaver, Samantha Christine Hope Francis (Kevin), Bryan Foster Hope, and Nicholas Austin Hope; his sister, Betty Christine Hartfiel, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, William Edgar and Ocie Christine Freeman; brother, Tommy Freeman; step-sister, Billie Jo Starr, and step-brothers, Tex Freeman and Robert Freeman. Services will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 2:00 pm at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church, 231 Gulf Prairie Road, Freeport, Texas.
