Wanda was born on March 19, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas to Athel and Gracie (Bowman) Granger. She grew up in Amarillo, Texas, graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico and eventually moved to Bonner Springs, Kansas in 1967 where she married John Wise and raised two daughters.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Bob and David Granger, and an extraordinary companion, Bert Lawson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sherri Hudson and husband Scott of Independence, Missouri, Tammie Wise and husband Sam of Conroe, Texas, by her two brothers, Don Granger and wife Terri of Lutz, Florida, Larry Granger and wife Debbie of Overland Park, Kansas, by her four grandchildren, Chelsi, Connor, Cooper and Tyler and by her great-granddaughter, Mila Grace.
Wanda was a bank supervisor while living in Kansas and retired as a Human Resources Supervisor for the State of Texas. She enjoyed her coffee, bowling, traveling, puzzles, walking, reading, church, daily devotion and spending precious time with her family.
Services will be held in the Chapel at Cashner’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Garden Park Cemetery, both at Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
Pallbearers for the service will be Chelsi Wise, Connor Wise, Tyler Wise, Cooper Hudson, Scott Hudson and Sam Vandeweert.
