

Warren Henry Willkomm, a 35-year resident of Conroe, TX, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at CRMC in Conroe, TX, after a brief illness. He was 83. Born in New Orleans, LA on February 29, 1928 to the late Henry Maximillian and Jeanne Duignan Willkomm. He was preceded in death by sisters Emelie May Willkomm of New Orleans, LA and Dorothy Jeanne Willkomm Kaiser of Memphis, TN; his wife, Delphine Nabozny Willkomm of Detroit, MI, and son Gregory Mark Willkomm of Conroe, TX. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Phyllis Willkomm of Conroe, TX; his children, James Crofton Willkomm of East Sound, WA, Jeanne Willkomm Gilbert of Pound Ridge, NY, Katherine Ann Willkomm of Boulder, CO, and Patrice Willkomm Childers and son-in-law Mark Wayne Childers of Knik, AK; and stepsons Nicholas Maggio of Batesville, AR, and Roy Maggio and wife Ume of New Orleans, LA; 5 grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews.
Warren graduated with a bachelors degree from Loyola University, served in World War II and the Korean Conflict, honorably discharged as Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, Warren was a retired automotive executive, and an active Shaklee representative. An avid outdoors man, bird watcher, traveler and devoted friend. Relatives and friends are invited to the Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX 77304, for the Memorial Service on Thursday, on April 21, at 6:00pm with services by Rev. Charles Downey, of Conroe.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Creative Life Center, 5326 Spring Stuebner Rd, Spring, TX, with services by Rev., Dr. Jesse Jennings, a long-time counselor and family friend, at 7:00 PM on April 26.
