Arlene Burns

Burns, Arlene, 60, of Pompano Beach, passed away December 5, 2014. Arlene was born November 27, 1954 in Bronx, New York to the late William and Julia Bermudez. For the past nine years, she was a bookkeeper for LJ Schmier in Boca Raton. If anyone could photoshop a picture it was Arlene,especially with Bruce Willis. She also had a passion for restoring antique furniture. She was full of life, until recently she lived each day as if it were her last. Her spirit was contagious, always cracking jokes and making light of any situation. I can speak for my children as they loved their Tia Arlene and always looked forward to seeing her and spending time with her, she was awesome! She was the life of the party without ever trying. She will be missed tremendously by all that have had the opportunity to know her or those that simply met her. She was a beautiful woman inside and out with a radiant smile. If she did happen to be down about something she would get it off her chest then crack a joke about it. Not sweating the small stuff. She was very loving and caring, just an amazing human being- the cool aunt. We are unfortunate that God called her to him so soon but like she told me just recently, she had a blast while she was here and has no regrets! Her pain is gone and she is in a better place now. She will always be with us in our hearts and in our memories, still cracking us up and making us smile until we see her again. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving family, sister and brother-in-law, Natalie & John McCauley, niece, Desiree (Brian) Makovsky, nephews, John McCauley, Todd (Magaly) McCauley, great nieces and nephews, John Jr., Joseph, Matthew and Jacob McCauley, Devin, Caleb & Alicia Makovsky, Brendan & Kailen McCauley. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 20, 2014, 2:00 - 3:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs where a Celebration of Life Service wil begin at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Arlene's memory to the ASPCA.
