Barbara E. Mitchell (Cowan) peacefully passed away in Coral Springs Florida on June 1st at the age of 90. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Robert Mitchell. She is survived by her three children David (Sheryl), Mark (Jean), and Linda (Kevin). She also had eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Barbara was born on April 18, 1932 in Detroit Michigan to Signe and Fred Cowan. She grew up on the east side of Detroit and graduated from Detroit Denby High School. Soon after that she met the love of her life, who she married in October 1953. She was a successful mother, wife and meticulous homekeeper, and lived a wonderful life in Michigan until relocating to south Florida in 2017. There she spent her remaining years close to her loving daughter Linda.
Barbara will be celebrated at a service back in home state of Michigan later this summer.
