Tatay and Inay would always say, when your Kuya was the only child, we had fried chicken anytime of the week. He would savor spoonfuls of peanut butter or roll it into balls to play with your Kuya Ollel😋. All the best things were during his time. Even pictures, he was the most photographed kid of us 7, uncles and aunts would know only him but not the smaller ones. And so yes, we sort of envied the guy🙄... But as every kid got added, less and less good things graced the table that by the time the 7th child Oliver came, we were completely innocent of fried chicken😋... He went thru that crunch time, i still hear him ask Inay for five pesos for some high school project and Inay couldn't give. I didnt know if he said it out loud for Tita Rosie to hear or if he jacked up the price, but that 5 pesos pushed him to rise up. And promised himself to check in Gilarmi Apartments someday. Which he did not just once but many times.🙂...
He supported me in college, shook me up whenever I'd lose a job and bought me my first ever fried chicken in years😂...
Thank you Kuya for leading us to make our lives better, for your cool and gracious to your in-laws and pamangkins,  for your love to our cousins and elders, for the deep bond with your friends who are now your family, and for taking care of Ate Angie, she has brought out the best in you.😏... We hope we made you proud, we are, for having been part of your life. When I walk the paths we formerly shared, my footsteps echo alone. 
In my heart and mind you live forever, but the silence of the here and now isolate me. 
I am not overwhelmed by the grief of your passing, for we all must go, when called but for the your absence I feel more alone in the world.

I remember what was and I miss you my friend.

I worked with him at AAMSI for many years and would always see him and Angie at St Bernard in Sunrise. I will always remember Marlo for his kindness. I still have the palm crosses he would give out after palm sunday. Everytime I saw Marlo, he would always say something or do something to put a smile on my face or make me laugh.  I will miss him, but sadness goes away because I know we will meet again in God's kingdom.

I met Marlo a year after I arrived here in the US. became a really good friend almost instantly because we shared the love of music specially singing duets from Simon & Garfunkel,  Orleans  or just goofing around just for the fun of it. we then became original founding members of Dinggin. all those years we dedicated our talents in music spreading Gods love through our voices. both of us being instrumentalists brought us closer together. I not only lost a great friend , I lost a brother . I will miss your presence  everytime I will hold my guitar and hopefully you will be there in spirit.  journey on my friend into the hands of the Angel's and into God's embrace. 

Marlo we truly miss you here at AAMSI.  One thing I can say about you was you was truly a good friend I wouldn't have traded you for anyone in the world.  So thank you for being you and I am so happy that I got to know you. Miss you and Mrs. Angie I'm praying for your strength and health.

Marlo was such a good friend and neighbor. He will be truly missed by all I am just so sorry Angie to hear this my condolences from Marissa and myself
