Gary M. Sopcheck

Sopcheck, Gary M., 52, of Coral Springs, passed away June 3, 2012. Gary was born November 2, 1959 in Queens, New York to the late Michael and Helen (nee Totura) Sopcheck. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Donna (nee Newman), daughter, Dana (Shaun) Farmer, sons, Gary (Ashley) Sopcheck Jr., Matthew Sopcheck, Donald Sopcheck, grandchildren, Ian Farmer, Madeline Farmer, Emily Sopcheck, Erica Sopcheck and sister, Janet Sopcheck. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, 6:00 - 8:00pm, Thursday, June 7, 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 9:00pm, Friday, June 8, 10:30 - 11:30am at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1 North State Road 7, Margate. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, June 8, 2012, 12:00pm (Noon) at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1401 Coral Ridge Drive, Coral Springs with Fr. Michael Kelly officiating.

Gary was a firm believer in doing for others. Every six weeks, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church had a blood drive and Gary was always the first in line to donate. In his honor and memory the COMMUNITY BLOOD CENTERS OF FLORIDA will be at Kraeer Funeral Home on Thursday, June 7, 2012, 6:00 - 9:00pm (during the visitation) for anyone wishing to donate blood in Gary's memory. This was something he believed in and his family would appreciate this kind gesture in his memory.
