My brother Anthony, tried to put these on here for Helayne. I was able to rename it and send it for her friends to see the day they got married. They divorced a year later and remained friends all these years. She was so tiny, I think my Mom had to take in her suit! She is missed!

From co-worker to girlfriend to my wife, I will miss you. I thank God for putting you in my life and being a great friend always. I'll miss our phone calls for birthdays, holidays etc.. You taught me a lot about life. 
I will always cherish our memories together Helayne and our love.

Helayne was a customer of ours from her Colorado days. She worked for Pikes Peak Litho, and she gave us an opportunity to do business with her company.  She was loyal to Pikes Peak; she demanded the best price and best service from us.  She kept high expectations but was always fair.  I so enjoyed speaking to her on any project, she was dedicated to her job and making sure everything was perfect for her customers.

We kept in touch after she moved to Florida, one time I was coming to Bocca and asked if I could meet her, but she was reluctant as it was just after the covid years. She didn’t feel safe meeting people.  I didn’t know of her illness at the time but thought that was so unlike Helayne.  But we stayed in touch via phone and text.  

Earlier this year she called and caught me up to what was going on in her life and revealed that she was battling emphysema.  As I hung up the phone, I realized she was saying goodbye without actually saying goodbye. What a class act. Helayne thank you for being a friend.  I appreciated getting to know you and working with you and learning from you.

Though she wasn't married yet to my brother, Anthony, we insisted that Helayne sit with us for our first family photo for my parents 35th wedding anniversary. She is sitting on the lower right. Anthony is right above her with the famous plaid suit circa 1977! My folks were thrilled with the photo, even though three more children were born after it.

Helayne was once married to my brother Anthony. My husband Paul and I would have  them to our house in Babylon.  We surprisingly shared the love of the same music even though we were almost ten years older than they were. Helayne was easy to talk to and we bonded. She loved cats and soon my brother loved cats and has had many over the years.
I remember the four of us going to a Rick Wakeman concert that we loved. We all got a kick out of two guys so stoned they slept through the entire concert. “Journey to the center of the earth” ( was so loud with giant dinosaurs blowing smoke on stage)….. we couldn’t believe they could be asleep although the scent of weed was everywhere, which was the best way to listen to this performance anyway! Helayne was kind, open and honest and I loved her, all my family did. We all are so sad to hear she’s gone. Deepest sympathies to her dear family!

I am so grateful to have had you in my life. From the time we were young  we’ve known each other and been there for each other… we even shared a brief time of living together in Flushing ….Some of the happiest memories of my life! When you went to Colorado our phone calls on a regular basis about landscaping furnishings decorating .etc. and our precious fur babies were all conversations that will stay in my heart forever. This last year has been so tough for you ,your family and all those who love you. You’ve left a legacy of loving kindness, intelligence, compassion, strength  and generosity… and my life was blessed for having been part of yours. My deepest sympathy goes out to your sister RIKI who you shared such a special relationship with and loved SO much …and to your brother-in-law Louie..
The love you and Riki  have  for each other is beautiful and eternal. You will be missed by many beyond words. I still can’t believe we won’t speak to each other again, but I will have your voice and loving memories in my heart forever🙏

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Helayne just. She was more than just a valued customer — she was part of our family. Her kindness, warmth, and trust meant the world to us, and her presence will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Laynee and I shared a lifetime of experiences, some good, some not so good. I always thought of her as a smart woman who was also patient, kind, thoughtful and considerate of others.  

She rose to the occasion on her life’s journey so many times: in her homes, jobs, her business, she was one to always be on top of her game.

I cannot bear to think of not being able to speak with her on the phone or visit her in Florida.  She was definitely one of a kind and I will miss her. If I ever did anything to hurt you Mouse, please forgive me.  Find eternal peace and joy in G-d’s  light.  I love you always.

Laynee, it’s taken me several attempts to write this. I miss you. You and I have been through a lot that’s for sure. I’m so glad that you have been part of life. Not just mine, but my family ‘s as well. You have always been kind and loving….and a little crazy!  Remember our dancing!
We will always treasure knowing you as one of our lives gifts.

Knowing you for most of my life is true. We shared many wonderful and crazy memories in our younger years. But I began to really know you as adult friends since we reconnected a few years ago. And what we both realized is that we had a shared love of beauty, art, and respect of all living things. I will miss our phone conversations. I will simply miss all of you, forever and always.
