

DUMAS, Helen Agnes, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2015, in Coconut Creek, FL. Helen was born to Joseph and Agnes Patanyi on January 9, 1923, in Pittsburgh, PA. She is predeceased by her husband, Eugene, to whom she was married for 52 years and with whom she was blessed with 3 children, Julie Ann Godin (deceased) (Roy), Gary Dumas (Donna) and David Dumas (Stacy), who in turn blessed her with 4 grandchildren, Aaron, Amber, Zach and Alex.
Helen lived in Pittsburgh, PA until 1966, when she moved with her husband and children to Fort Lauderdale, FL. In addition to raising and caring for her children, Helen worked in Pittsburgh and Fort Lauderdale as an executive assistant until she established a long and successful career selling residential real estate in Fort Lauderdale.
Helen was a devout Catholic and was always guided by and took comfort in her faith. She was certain of entering the kingdom of Heaven and being reunited with her husband Eugene, her daughter Julie, her parents, and her siblings, all of whom predeceased her. In addition to her belief in God, Helen was sustained by her love of family, and she took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Helen will forever be loved and missed by her family.
A memorial mass will be held at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, 5980 University Drive, Parkland, Florida 33067, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015.
