Jenn lived her life to the fullest each day. Always planning the next trip to Disney, or the next weekend getaway, or time with family and friends just for fun. That was her goal in life, to enjoy her time with people and be kind to all. She was a dedicated mom, wife, sister, daughter and Aunt who loved rescuing animals, photography, paddle boarding, camping, the beach, painting rocks, fishing, the everglades, and any reason to celebrate anything. She also worked at Our Savior Lutheran as a preschool teacher & volunteered her time being room mom & working aftercare or helping out in any capacity that she was able. She was so creative, always making sure every decoration was outstanding for every event. She had such a good heart and truly enjoyed helping anyone with anything. She had the most beautiful smile that was inviting to everyone, making them instantly a friend of hers & our entire family. She was simply a bright light in a dark world that was truly a blessing to everyone around her.
Jenn is survived by her beloved family: her husband, Jacob McGinnis; son, James McGinnis; daughter, Jenna McGinnis; mother, Donna Lee VanDerEems; father, John Russel VanDerEems; grandfather, John VanDerEems; sister, Heather Helwig; brother-in-law, Christopher Helwig; nephew, Hunter Helwig; uncle, Richard VanDerEems (wife, Eva); mother-in-law, Judy McGinnis; father-in-law, Jim McGinnis; aunt, Ilene (Lee); and cousins, Samantha VanDerEems, Richard Joseph VanDerEems (wife, Sydney), Jesse VanDerEems, Jade Osgood, Davin Osgood, and Dallas VanDerEems.
A celebration of Jenn's life will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8001 NW 5th St, Plantation, FL 33324.
