Joan "Joni" Marie Cuomo

Our beloved Joni passed away suddenly on December 10, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on October 3, 1956, in Newark, New Jersey, Joni later made Florida her home in the 1970s. She built a life centered on family, warmth, and connection, and will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking for those she cared about, her sense of humor, and her unwavering willingness to be there whenever she was needed. Her heart was generous, and she cared deeply for those around her, even during the most difficult of times.

Joni had a gentle, loving spirit and a natural ability to bring comfort and light to others. She found joy in simple, meaningful things—angels, hearts, and teddy bears—symbols that reflected her tender nature, the softness she carried within her, and the enduring presence of love beyond what we can see.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Joan; her daughter, Teresa; and her cherished granddaughter, Cynthia. She is also survived by her siblings, Rosemary (Francois), Michael (Lisa), Christopher, and Dana; her nieces and nephews, Lauren, Valerie (Brian), Tyler, Jacob, Rylie, and Brian; as well as many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her.

Joni was deeply loved and will be forever missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her, and in the love she leaves behind — a love that remains, gentle and enduring, like an angel watching over those she held dear. 🤍

A graveside service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, located at 1500 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL, 33068, on December 22, 2025, at 11:15 am, this will be followed by a committal service at the same location.
