On May 17, 2012, Paul Clement Daneau transitioned peacefully from this life to an eternal one at 69 years of age. Tony, as his friends and family fondly called him, was born October 13, 1942 in Elgin, Illinois as the only child to Paul and Helen Daneau, farm and tavern owners within the town. From a young age, Tony was enamored by the sport of fishing, frequenting the southern waters of the Florida Keys and the Caribbean. He met his love, Jony, following high school graduation, eventually married in 1965, and relocated to Pompano Beach, FL in 1966. Tony was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in both Germany and Vietnam until his honorable discharge in 1971 with a Bronze Star. In 1973, Tony and Jony moved to Coral Springs, FL where they raised their three children, Chris, Deana, and Derek. Tony was a loving husband, supportive father, and dedicated Christian who used his time and talents as a drummer and percussionist to honor the Lord faithfully for over 30 years. His family has now expanded to include two daughters in law and five grandchildren, all of whom added great joy to his life. Tony's family undoubtedly believes that he is now fishing with Jesus (catch and release, of course) and has his favorite dog, Harley, by his side. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to:EIF, Entertainment Industry Foundation at www.eifoundation.org for colorectal cancer research (donate online), VITAS Hospice, or any charitable organization of your choice to honor the memory of Paul "Tony" Daneau.
