Rick is survived by his father Richard Edwards Sr. and stepmother Jacquelyn Edwards of North Carolina, mother Terri Engel and stepfather Robert Engel of Illinois, son Christopher Edwards, age 14 and daughter Gabriella Edwards, age 12 of Coral Springs, brother Robert Edwards & (Gabriela Edwards) with nephews, Samuel and Jacob Edwards of North Carolina, sister Melissa Edwards with nephews, Matthew and Jordan Sylvia of Greenacres, FL.
In 1990, Rick graduated from Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, FL. He was employed by Satair, USA for 15 years as a Sales Manager in the Aviation Industry until his death. Rick had many interests including automobiles, photography and sports. Most important in Rick’s life was his children and he was a dedicated father through his active participation in support of his children’s education and sport activities.
His death on June 15, 2012 followed a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at Church by the Glades, Coral Springs, Florida at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 22, 2012.
