

Sylvia was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Philip and Cecile (Morel) Roberge on October 29th, 1935. She went to grade school and high school at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Lawrence. She graduated in 1953 as her class salutatorian.
She married Raymond Rheaume of Lawrence, on August 10th 1957 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Sylvia worked as a Page for a local senator, and worked in a real estate office before her children were born. Not only was she very active in her own school parish and local community, Sylvia served on the PTA in her children’s schools in Massachusetts and Hialeah, Florida. Her Catholic parish involvement followed to the same as a Eucharistic minister, religious education teacher, and served on various committees to her church and the Archdiocese of Miami.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Philip and Robert Roberge, her husband Raymond, and daughter Nancy Rheaume Hernandez. She is survived by her children Debra Rheaume (Jim Haskins), Denise Gomez (Pete), Dawn Rheaume, and Robert Rheaume (Sherdean); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
