Thelma "Sis" Thomas Mendola

Thelma “Sis” Thomas Mendola, 94, of Tamarac, Florida, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born January 11, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Thelma (Hoffman) Thomas. After her introduction, she was known to all simply as Sis—a patient, faithful, and cherished presence in the lives of those who loved her.

Sis worked in a retail department store, where her steady nature and dedication reflected the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.

Sis was married to her beloved husband, Angelo Mendola, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Lon Stuller (Jeannine), Cindy McDonough (Tim), Ty Stuller (Sky), and Terry Stuller (Traci), Dr. Richard Mendola (Dr. Sheryl Gabram-Mendola). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Erinn Stuller (Tracy), Colleen Hatok (Brandon), Max McDonough (Shannon), Trey McDonough (Marina), Brittany Carlson (Derek), Steven Kinsland, and Austin Stuller (Samantha), and Aspen Mendola. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Jackson Stuller, Landry Stuller, Aaron Kinsland, Gabrielle Hatok, Claire McDonough, Weston McDonough, Mei Kinsland, Rowan Stuller, and Holland Coburn.

Visitation will be held at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 330716026, on April 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center on April 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
