David Grant Robertson

David was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a cherished Papie. His kindness, quiet strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Whether he was offering advice on a home project, fixing a car, or simply lending a hand, David was always ready to help—no questions asked, no thanks expected. That unwavering support and practical wisdom will be deeply missed.

He was the beloved husband of Ilene (née Dionne) for 41 wonderful years, a partnership built on love, respect, and shared laughter. Loving father to Grant (Chantelle) of Burlington and Mia (Alex Comolli) of Amherstview. Proud and doting Papie to his grandson, Everett, who brought him immense joy.

David was the dear brother of Mary Smith (late Howard Smith), Gary (Holly Casgrain), and Scott of Richmond. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Gary Dionne (Linda), as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Lillian Robertson, and his brother John.

In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie and Sullivan East Branch. A celebration of David’s life will be held on Sunday June 8th at the Ramada by Wyndham Cornwall (805 Brookdale Ave) from 2-4pm, where stories will be shared, and his memory honored with the love and laughter he brought into so many lives.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Menon and the wonderful staff at Hospice Cornwall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
