MIRON-ORTON, Denise – After a long battle with ALS, Denise passed away peacefully, with family by her side at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre on Tuesday, March 21, 2017; age 84 years. Beloved wife of Donald Orton. Loving mother of Leo Mayotte (Danielle), Robert Mayotte (Denise), Jacques Mayotte (Sylvie) and Helene Mayotte. Denise will be missed by her step-children, Alan Orton (Leslie) and Jane McKenzie (Randy). Cherished grandmother of fourteen and great-grandmother of eight. Dear daughter of the late Adrien and Bertha (Roy) Miron. Predeceased by sister, Aline (Miron) Lapointe. Family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613.933.2841) from 7 pm – 9 pm Thursday, March 30, 2017. Funeral Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Peter’s Parish at 10:30 am. The family will receive family and friends at the Church on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or the ALS Society would be appreciated by the family.
