Florence Harriet Peterson (Truscott) died April 24, 2014 in Lancaster, Ontario. Born October 21, 1920 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she was married to Douglas I. Peterson for more than 64 years. Florence is survived by 4 children: Janet (Bill), Douglas, Lynn and Joan; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of Summerlea Golf and Country Club. Among Florence’s many interests were curling, bridge, knitting, crossword puzzles, reading and music. She was the consummate grandma. Family at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First St. East, (613-933-2841) on Saturday, May 31st, 2014 for visitation from 2 p.m.. A Memorial Service will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Her family will be in attendance on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of Service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) would be appreciated by the family.
