GAINES, Georgette – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Georgette (Bedard) Gaines of Cornwall; age 81 years. Beloved wife of the late Jackie Gaines. Loving mother of Carol Paquin (Blake) and Jacqueline Gaines (Lee Ann) of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Stacey Chisholm (Ean) and Alysha Lavictoire (Eric). Survived by her brothers, Robert Bedard (Heather), Conrad Bedard (Carmen) and Rolland Bedard (Sharon) and her sisters, Lucienne St. Denis, Marie-Claire Robinson and Pierrette Taillon (Raymond). Dear daughter of the late Edgar and the late Edna (Renaud) Bedard. Predeceased by her daughter Kathy McKee (Ron), her brothers, Laurier Bedard and Laurent Bedard and one sister, Annette Fortier. The family extends a thank you for the care and compassion to all staff in the McNeil House at St. Joseph’s Villa. Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East, (613-933-2841) from 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral Saturday, June 4, 2016 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis-de-Sales Church at 2 p.m. followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 12 noon until time of Funeral. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
