Irene Gravel

GRAVEL, Irene- Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Heartwood Long Term Care. Irene Amanda Gravel (Beauvais) of Cornwall; age 91 years. Formerly of 308 Second Street, East. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Gravel. Dear mother of Cecile Flaro, Jacqueline Lamothe (Gilles), Michael Gravelle (Johanne) and Florence Gravelle (Late Roger). Predeceased by one son Jean-Guy Gravelle, one infant son Joseph and one infant daughter Rita. Irene had seven grandchildren: Mark Flaro (Ruth); Bob Flaro (Leigh-Ann); Jeffrey Flaro (Lee); Steven Gravelle (Melissa); Daniel Lamothe (Cindy); Julie Séguin (Michel) and Stephanie Nalepa (Christopher). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren: Derrick, Krista, Allie, Chandler, Chelsea, Sidney, Avery, Daniel, Jeanna, Barbara, Renée, Nastassia and Kay-Cie, as well as two great great-grandchildren: Jemma and Eden. She leaves behind one sister Gladys Leroux of Toronto, Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father the late Mervin Beauvais and her mother the late Aldéa Grégoire, also by two brothers, Fred and Lindsay Beauvais and six sisters, Mabel, Lizzie, Violet, Yvonne, Nellie, and Hazel. Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First St East, Cornwall (613-933-2841) from 2 P.M. Thursday. Funeral, Friday, April 12, 2013 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter’s Church at 11 A.M. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. and 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. and from 9 A.M. until the time of Funeral on Friday. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
