

Dear son of the late Hormidas and the late Hermine (née Hebert). Predeceased by one brother, Robert Rivet (Cecile Lalonde) and seven sisters: Rita Decaire, Therese Deneault, Cecile Dicaire, Annette Dicola, Denise Primeau, Jeanne Deschamps and Fleurette Nadeau.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Father Laurier was ordained to the priesthood on June 26, 1970. He served various parishes over the years in the Cornwall area.
Father Laurier Rivet will be resting in state at Co-cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 300 Montreal Rd, Cornwall on Friday June 20th, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. As well as on Saturday June 21st, 2025 between the hours of 9.am and 11a.m.
Mass of Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated at Co-cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday June 21st, 2025 at 11 a.m. Interment in Nativity Cemetery to follow.
