Lorraine Amirault

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Lorraine Amirault (née Trahan) at the Heartwood Long Term Care Home in Cornwall, on Saturday December 13, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

Loving mother of: Ivan Amirault (Fareeda), Maureen Hamilton (Kent), Wayne Amirault (Kim Turenne) and Laura Kitching (Derek). Proud grandmother of: Kevin Amirault, Sara Amirault (Joe), Justin Joly (Chelsea), Johnathan Joly, Tyler Hamilton, Corey Hamilton (Andrea), Rachel Pearce (Brandon), Rebecca Amirault, Devon Kitching (Hilary) and Paige Smith (Brody). Cherished great grandmother of: Ella, Ashlynn, Gwen, Tenley and Landon. Treasured sister of William “Willie” Trahan.

Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Ethel (née Gaudet) Trahan; and her sisters: Eileen Mazerolle and Jackie Carrigan.

She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters of the Cornwall Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the healthcare staff at Heartwood Long Term Care for the wonderful care Lorraine received.

They would also like to thank Lorraine’s close friends, Judi Bell and Debora Long for always being there for her.

In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes cremation has taken place.

Arrangements have been entrusted to LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN EAST BRANCH 614 FIRST STREET EAST, CORNWALL, ON (613-933-2841).

A celebration and burial will be held at a later date, where she grew up in Nova Scotia.
