

Maurice Bissonnette, a resident of Cornwall, Ontario, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on March 31, 1936, Maurice was known for his adventurous spirit, hard-working nature, and devotion to his family and community.
As the founder of C-Way Rad & Auto Repair, Maurice built a successful career through dedication and perseverance. His work ethic was admired by many, and his contributions to the industry were significant.
Maurice was the beloved husband of Laurette (née Lepage) for 64 years. He was the cherished son of Xavier Bissonnette and Laurette St. Jean. Maurice was predeceased by his siblings Roger Bissonnette (late Claudette) (late Marie Rose), Constant Bissonnette (late Claudette), Yvon Bissonnette, and Claudette Richer (Lucien). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.
His personal interests were as diverse as they were passionate. Maurice loved sports, boating, fishing, car racing, ski-dooing, travelling, and music, and he was a player of many instruments. He also enjoyed camping, which further reflected his adventurous nature.
Maurice was deeply involved in his community as a member of the Bonville Lions Club, Charles Emile Claude Center, and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a dedicated sponsor of the Cornwall Speedway, showcasing his commitment to local initiatives and community development.
Maurice Bissonnette's legacy is one of dedication, adventure, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home East Branch 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday December 11 and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 12, 2025 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Columbarium.
