Survived by fiancé, Carolyn Hasty of Wanatah, IN, children Alaxandria (Adrian) Lopez, Jacy
Vuckovich, Nathaniel Vuckovich, Leah Vuckovich, grandson Asher Lopez, siblings Mila (Larry)
Dye of Munster, Steven (Heather) Vuckovich of Crete, IL, Merlene (Mike) Hall of Valparaiso,
sister-in-law Cindy (Steve) Olson of Monticello, IN, aunt Irene Carty of Clinton, IN, uncle Dusan
Vuckovic of Highland, IN, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Roger
Vuckovich.
Tony was a graduate of Calumet High School-class of 1983 where he was an All-Conference
baseball player. He completed Associate/Bachelor degrees and was employed as the lead
engineer for Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. Colleagues and friends at IIT
described Tony as a highly effective leader, communicator, mentor, and teacher.
There are no words to describe how much family meant to Tony. He loved his four children and
was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed golfing, caring for animals,
as well as watching the Cubs and Bears. He will be missed beyond words.
A public visitation for Anthony will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM. A burial will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307.
