ARLENE M. MORRIS "GRAMMY" CALUMET CITY, IL Arlene M. "Grammy" Morris (nee Slattery) age 75, of Calumet City, IL passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011. She is survived by three children: Linda (Ken) Andersen, Loni (John) Cap, and Robert P. Morris III; nine grandchildren: Brianne (Jeff) Hopwood, Andrielle and Logan Cap, Aaron and Amanda Andersen, Heather (Billy) Kuchel and Holly, Megan and Ashley Maxwell; three great-grandchildren: Ayden, Brooke and Payton; four brothers: Ronald Slattery, Ray (Pam) Maynard, Randy (Dawn) Maynard and Reggie Maynard; one sister, Donna (late Ed) Boone; and loving canines: Snuggles and Flicker. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; father, Robert Slattery; mother, Eleanor Maynard; and brother, Roger Maynard. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Rev. Martin J. Dobrzynski officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Morris was a retired Maybelline Cosmetics sales representative for 27 years. She loved cooking, sewing, and crocheting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene's loving memory to Hospice of the Calumet Area or the Calumet Humane Society.
