Barbara Polus

Barbara "Barb" S. Polus, age 75, of Demotte, IN passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 with her loving family at her side. Barb is the loving wife to the late Richard Polus; beloved mother to Richard (the late Cassandra) Polus, Jr., and Amy (Steven) Sullivan; proud grandmother to Mark Breeden, Jr., Andrew Polus, Dylan Sullivan, and Shawn Sullivan; great-grandmother to Mark Bradley Breeden; cherished sister to Sonny Kralovansky, Dolly Hajduch, Virginia Steele, Fred Kralovansky and Helen Kralovansky; and aunt to many. She was an avid reader, and would regularly visit the Demotte Library. Barb was a crafts enthusiast, especially enjoying cross-stitching and crocheting. Those she loved would always receive blankets and afghans that she made. She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events and cheering them on. Barb mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays and family get-togethers. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral at 3:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
