Bright, Charles L. "Charlie" Passed away at home on Friday, March 25, 2011. He was born May 19, 1928 in Paducah, KY to Charles & Myrtle (nee: Rust) Bright. He married Charlene M. (nee:Stoney) on March 9, 1967 and she survives. He was a 33 year member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Black Oak. He was an active member at church serving as a board member, Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher. Reading the Bible was his passion in life, along with his boundless love for his family. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter and longtime member of Local # 599 in Hammond. Charlie leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 44 years, Charlene. Daughters: Christine Bright and Cheryl (David) Bunch. His four precious grandchildren: Cynthia, Forrest, Jessica and Alexis. Charlie was preceded in death by seven siblings. There will be a visitation for Charlie from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville, IN. Funeral service for Charlie will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Whittum officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
