Charlotte M. (McCutcheon) Goodson age 94, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2019. She was born on November 14, 1924 in Gad WV and married the love of her life Bill Goodson on Dec 22nd, 1946 in Shreveport, LA.
She is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy (Rich) Slussar of Portage IN, Carol (Jack) Davis of New Kensington PA and Paula Wilson of Camden AR. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Becky, Rachel, Debbie, Jared, Nathan and Sean, fourteen great grandchildren and is expecting another one. Also surviving are three brother’s Gary and Bob McCutcheon from WV and Don McCutcheon from OH, along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William F. Goodson, her parents FA and Dorothy McCutcheon, step mother Sylvia, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and son-in-law Rick Wilson.
Charlotte was a born again Christian who was actively involved in her local church activities especially the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star (OES). She participated in home-makers clubs in both AR, and WV making quilts, afghans and other crafts. Charlotte also loved the outdoors, was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and gardener.
"Meme" as she was known to all of her grandchildren was a loving great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, and wife. She will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave Crown Point, IN). Family and friends are invited to meet with the family from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.
