Cruz Anthony Delgado

Cruz was born July 18, 1994 in Munster, Indiana to Carmen S. Gutierrez and Herman (Theresa) Delgado, who survive.

Also left to cherish his memory are his son Cruz Anthony Delgado Jr; fiancé Adriana Ponce; siblings, Clarissa K. Campos, Abel Linares III, Jade A. Gutierrez, Alyssa L. Gossett, Erica, Tino, Diangelo, Benecio Tive Delgado, Nicolas and Isaiah Patterson; nephews Baby Joey and Jeremiah; maternal grandparents, Carmen and Diego Gutierrez; paternal grandparents, Yvonne and Joey Alverez and Jesse Ramirez; Uncz Jesus “Jesse” ( Auntie Missy) Gutierrez, and their children, Falicia, Santino, and Olivia; Uncles Salvador Gutierrez, Santino Delgado, Jesse, Ernesto, Victor, Mike, Jesse, Ramirez; Aunt Michelle Ramirez; many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncle Natividad Delgado.

Cruz was a boxer for Octavius James- One In A Million Boxing. He put family first in his life, and his friends in boxing became family. He was an amazing father and fiancé, loving son, hilarious brother, pride and joy of a grandparents, and will be missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 12 pm until 8 pm with a scripture service at 1 pm followed by a prayer and rosary service at 6 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave; Schererville, Indiana 46375). A mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. James the Less Catholic Church (9640 Kennedy Ave. Highland, Indiana 46322) with Fr. Keith Virus officiating.
