Darrell is survived by his wife of 74 years, Pollyann (Poliquin) Medsker; children, Darrell Kent (Kathy Powers) Medsker, Gerrell Kim (Kim Adams) Medsker, Cindy (Bryan Keith) Beard, Melissa (Mark) Walters, and Melinda (Rob) Gard; eleven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Darrell was preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Medsker.
Darrell was a devoted and loving husband and father. He retired after thirty-six years of work at Union Carbide Linde Division. Darrell was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in DeMotte, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 66, and the Moose Lodge 2235. He was an avid Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears fan. He was known all around the Griffith area as an amazing bartender and bowler.
Private services will be held for Darrell. His final place of rest will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN.
