Donald L. Pozywio

Don was born April 15,1942, in East Chicago, IN, to the late Donald and Leona Pozywio-McGuan.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy (nee Pagorek) Pozywio; children, Donald E. (Suzanne) Pozywio and Kristen (Brett) Stokes; grandchildren, Ryan and Morgan Stokes, Megan, Sara, and Eric Pozywio; and sister, Nancy (James) Bruno; Godchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Bruno-DelRio and David Bruno.

Don was an insurance representative and estate planner for John Hancock and First Heartland for many years. A graduate of East Chicago Washington High School Class of '59. Don was a member of Isaac Walton of Griffith and Glenn Park of Merrillville. He was an avid trap shooter and member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association. He also loved to fish. He was a huge race fan and attended the Indianapolis 500 for over 53 years. He never met a stranger and always had a joke and a story to tell. Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loved by all.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 2-7 pm with funeral services at 6:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, Indiana 46307) with Fr. Steve Kosinski officiating.
