Doris R. Black, age 94, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on October 23, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Kevin) McClurg. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles, Sr.; son, Charles, Jr.; and two brothers.
In their earlier years, Doris and Charles loved traveling with their friends and family. Doris retired from the Hammond Clinic after thirty years. She enjoyed her position in the insurance department greatly. After retirement, Doris found joy in her hobbies, which included reading (Amish love stories especially), crocheting, and knitting. Doris was known for her beautiful smile, always laughing, and positive personality.
Visitation for Doris will be held on October 30, 2025 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
