She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Sims; daughter, Judy Loudermilk; son-in-law, Gary Loudermilk; brothers, Sheldon, James, and Robert; and sisters, Gaynell and Onella.
Doris is survived by her son, Rick (Roxann) Sims; sister-in-law, Iris (Ken) Doris; grandchildren, Julie Vidimos, Keith Loudermilk, Bryan Sims, and Kristen Wireman; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a long-time member of Lake Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
