She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Michael) Nemtuda; grandchildren, Timothy Nemtuda, Tiffany Nemtuda, Sarah Dolan, Amy (Keith) Huffmaster, Molly Laurinas, Melissa Laurinas; great grandchildren, Caleb, Pacey and Hayley Huffmaster and Chloe, Jacob, Lily and Liam Torrance; son-in-law, Jeffrey Laurinas; niece, Helen (late Angelo) Giacomin; nephew, Paul (Debbie) Drazich; great niece, Hannah Cook and great nephew, Samuel Drazich and many extended family members.

Preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Anna Drazich; husband, Chalmer Pitzer; loving daughter, Pamela Sue Laurinas; brothers, Michael, Steve and George Drazich.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards, cooking and baking and creating special memories for her grandchildren. She was generous, loving, gracious and witty with her infectious smile. For the past 3 years, Dorothy was blessed to find a second family at Miller's Merry Manner and her very best friend, Jenny.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Schererville, IN) with Pastor Paul Drazich officiating.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
