Douglas Stanton Howard

Douglas Stanton Howard age 63, passed away at home on Saturday, October 19, 2019. He is survived by his sister, Linda Martin; nephew, Travis Martin; grand-niece, MacKenzie; fiancé, Cheryl Moreland and her children, Jessica Moreland and Jake (fiancé Sarah Ordonez) Moreland and grandson, Bruce Wayne Moreland. Doug was born July 21, 1956 to the late Douglas Reid Howard and LaRue Pearl Howard and was a student at Thornridge High School in Dolton, IL. He proudly served our country in the US Army. Doug retired from AT&T as a Technician with 18 years of service. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed woodworking, flipping houses, bowling and golfing, hunting and target shooting, watching Westerns on MeTV and cruising on his Harley. Doug was a loving son, brother, fiancé, stepfather, step-grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM with a service at 6:30 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN) with Corlin Stein officiating.
