Edith Marie Fields

Edith Marie Fields, age 93, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She is survived by her children, Randy (Linda) Fields, Rodney (Rhonda) Fields, and Penny (Luka) Kljajic; grandchildren, Stacy (Joe) Moeglin, Stephen (Amy) Fields, Carie (Jeff) Parker, Anthony Smedley, Cory (Amber) Kljajic and Caitlyn (Mike) Bull; great-grandchildren, Tori (Hunter Horvath) Fields, Jacob Perriera, Ethan Perriera, Lucas Perriera, Ryan Fields, Simon Fields, Laney Parker, Mackensey Parker, Aubree Kljajic, Noemi Kljajic, Penelope Kljajic and Lukas Kljajic; great-great-grandchildren, Braelyn Fields, Kylah Fields, and Lilly Fields; brother, Charles Wray (Gloria) Horn; and former daughter-in-law, Bonnie Dailey. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eugene Roland Fields; her granddaughter, Christine Marie Fields and infant brother, Bobby Horn. Marie was born November 20, 1927 in McKenzie, TN to the late Charles Marvin and Lorine Horn. On November 27, 1947, she married the love of her life, Bud, and together they raised three children. Marie spent her days volunteering for the St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point, IN. At the age of 50, she went back to school and was proud to earn her GED. Marie enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family. Marie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN, with Priests, Michele Tipton and Linda Darter officiating. Private interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
