Edward James Street

Ed was born September 11,1933 in Brewer, Maine to the late William and Marjorie (Blackman) Street. Also preceded in death by wife Patricia, Son-in law Douglas Chryst, 3 Sisters and 2 Brothers. Survivors are four children, Karen Chryst, Kevin Street, Keith (Nicolette) Street and Kelly (Michael) Schwuchow. 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren.

Ed graduated from Brewer High School where he excelled at playing 3 sports; baseball, basketball and football. He Joined the Marines after high school and was stationed in Korea. He returned home where he met and married the love of his life Patricia Patch in 1955. They had 59 years together before Pat passed away in 2015.

Ed graduated from Husson University in Bangor, Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He began his accounting career in Ohio with Continental Can Corporation. Later he continued his career with Interlake/Acme Steel in Ohio and Illinois. After retiring in 1990, Ed enjoyed many years of traveling, playing cards, especially bridge, and was an avid sports fan.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service we are having in his honor on June 24, 2023 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 South Cline Avenue, Crown Point IN . Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 pm until memorial service begins at 1:00, followed by graveside service at 2:00.
