She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McKay; siblings, Gail, Kenneth, Raymond, Lora, and Evelyn; and her grandson, Shanon.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Randy (Joan) McKay and Melody (Dwaine) Mathis; sister, Fran Brooks; grandsons, Ryan McKay and Chad Mathis; great-grandchildren, Holly, Jaxon, and Alexis; great-great-grandchildren, Westin, Zane, and Colton; many nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Angie.
She was an voracious reader and world traveler, visiting over 26 countries in the world. Elizabeth had a passion for gardening. She worked at Montgomery Ward's as a manager in the fine jewelry department and with her husband at State Farm as a secretary.
According to her wishes, a private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A memorial dinner will be planned for a date in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to make a donation to Campagna Academy, 7403 Cline Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375.
