Helen Gruszka of Lowell, Indiana entered into eternal life on Wednesday October 25, 2017 peacefully at home with her family by her side. Helen was the proud mother of John (Sally) Gruszka of Crown Point, Indiana, Don Gruszka of Lowell, Indiana, and Mike (Kim) Gruszka of Lowell, Indiana. She was the grandmother of Mikey and Chris Gruszka of Lowell, Indiana and Amanda and Allison Gruszka of Crown Point, Indiana. Preceded in death by husband, Victor R. Gruszka and parents, John and Helen Medvecz. Helen graduated from Morton Senior High School in Hammond, Indiana in 1955. Helen was a faithful employee for Dr. William Pierce and Help & Home. Helen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Helen was a member of St. Edwards Parish in Lowell, Indiana. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 9:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home located at 8178 Cline Avenue in Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am with Pastor Jamie Ward of Suncrest officiating. A private graveside burial will be held at 11:30 am.
