John R Gallo

John was born July 31, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to Conrad and Florence Gallo, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Timothy (Arica) Gallo, Lori (Craig) Stone, Eric (Amanda) Gallo; grandchildren, Katie, Jordan, Matthew, Bryce, Aubrie, Robert, Colton, and Caden; siblings, James (Mary) Gallo, Ronald (Cheryl) Gallo, Christine Bugajski, and Robert (Amanda) Gallo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Denise Marie Gallo.

John helped his father run the family business, Amoco Gas Station/C&J Auto Body Shop for over 25 years in North Hammond. In 2000, he began working for Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, where he worked for over 17 years. He loved traveling, spending time with the grandkids, and being a "jack of all trades." He was caring, loving, stubborn, and stern all rolled into one.
