Julienne Bardoczi Blissmer

Julienne Blissmer, age 60, of Schererville, IN passed away on December 10, 2015 at her residence. Julienne was born June 3, 1955, in East Chicago, IN to Stephen and Lola (Zeleznik) Bardoczi. Her father preceded in death, and her mother survives. Also left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Kevin T. Blissmer; children: Kevin J. (Suzanne) Blissmer, Crystal (Justin) MacLean, and Candice (Lori Sliger) Blissmer; grandchildren: Andrew, Chase, Elena, Sydney, Leah, and Zackary; siblings: Bonnie Bardoczi, Stephen (Jeanine) Bardoczi II, and Chris (Sherri) Bardoczi; brother and sisters- in-law: Ted Semesky, Susanne (Rick) Hrabrich, Gerianne (Eddie) Bell, John (Yolanda) Blissmer, Sandy Thomas, and Todd Blissmer; mother-in-law Catherine (Howard) Blissmer- Holland; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda Semesky. Julienne was a Morton High School 1973 graduate. She was a selfless and loving caretaker of multiple generations of her family. She instinctively sacrificed her comfort for the happiness and well-being of others. Julienne emulated her love for others through cooking, helping and caring for her family. Her "adventures" and family vacations has taken her across the country and outside the country. Julienne was a former member of Northlake homemakers, and was a talented seamstress. She taught her children and grandchildren kindness and consideration towards others through example. Julienne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many, and will be missed by those who loved her. Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
