Kenneth Skinner

Devoted father, loving husband, a son, a brother, and loyal friend, Kenny was born on August 27, 1986 in Merrillville, IN to Pamela Morris and Kenneth Skinner, Sr. He graduated from Griffith High School and went on to become one of the most renowned barbers in Northwest Indiana. He was an expert at his craft and was in love with what he did. He had a big personality and connected with people effortlessly. He was generous and lived to help others. Kenny did not only give out haircuts, he gave therapy sessions, a catch up with a brother, a moment of laughter. His clients were his friends and his shop was a community no matter where he went. He lived for his kids and fought to build a good life for them.

On November 19, 2022, Kenny married the love of his life, Olivia Martinez Skinner. They had the kind of love most people pray for. They loved each other out loud, through sacrifice, patience, and unconditional support in every aspect of life. They became a beautiful blended family and lived for their kids. Kenny was the kind of dad that always showed up, no matter what.

Kenny Skinner is survived by his wife, Olivia Martinez Skinner; his children, Desmond, Khaliyah, DemiRose, and Kai; and also his many siblings, whom he loved very much.

A visitation in Kenny’s honor will be at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322, on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 1:00 to 8:00 pm. His celebration of life will begin at 5:00 pm.
